What are shops doing better?

Asos Marketplace - Asos Marketplace: Indie sustainable brands/ vintage clothing stores can list items there 'buy & sell'. The idea is to shop small and support local. Incredible one off items and unique pieces which nobody else will have.

Nasty Gal - Nasty Gal sustainable plan: "We believe that we can change our impact on the world by developing more eco-friendly clothing lines and adopting better practices within our internal network to reduce our environmental footprint. We're making great strides already, but there is still a long way to go. As we progress on this journey, we will be giving you our complete transparency every step of the way. The next few pages will show our goals for the future, and a breakdown of every consideration and action that has gotten us to where we are today with our sustainable collection" - this is the quote in which Nasty Gal has made in their sustainable fashion section. By 2025 they're aiming for all Polyester and Cotton to be recyclable or more sustainable and by 2030 all the materials they use will be fully sustainable.

Urban OutfittersUrban Outfitters Vintage and Renewal: 'The future of fashion lies in it's past' and every piece should tell a story. They renew to give a new life for damaged and unwanted clothing and they save 135,000 pieces of clothing a year which could end up in landfill. They renew branded pieces like Nike, Adidas and Champion and they also recycle unbranded clothing, too.

H&MH&M sustainability: 'Let's innovate', 'let's be fair', 'let's clean up', 'let's change together'. They claim to want to reassure customers that their clothes have been made responsibly and sustainably. You can find out where the products are made, in which country and also which factories and suppliers have helped them to become more sustainable.
